The hourly nature of our employment is easy to forget sometimes.  Few of us punch a clock and many of us have jobs in which the nature and intensity of our work varies from week to week.  And yet, one of the most fundamental facts about our employment relationship with UM, and so one of the most fundamental concerns of the GEO Contract, is that the university reserves only a limited number of hours of our time each term.
