NEW LOCATION: MICHIGAN LEAGUE BALLROOM
Hi everybody,
The General Membership Meeting is at the same time on the same date, but we have changed the location. We originally scheduled the GMM for the Michigan League Vandenberg Room, but we have changed the location to the Michigan League Ballroom. So it’s still in the same building, but in a different and bigger room.
See you there!

The new issue of At The Table is out! In it you will find vital information on how you and your department can get more involved as we get closer to March 1st (when our contract expires!). Read it, and share it!
One correction: the General Membership Meeting is still in the Michigan League, but it has moved to the Michigan League Ballroom! The previous location was the Vandenberg Room.

In case you missed it in print, the Daily ran an article today about GEO and the GSRA campaign. Thursday’s Call-In seeking a response from President Coleman on the GSRA right to organize made an impression!

At today’s bargaining session the Administration team will be presenting their economic proposals. This means we’ll be hearing their initial position on salaries, on health benefits, and on fees.
The session is from 1pm – 5pm in the Plaza Room on the third floor of Palmer Commons. We believe that the economic proposals will be presented early in the session — probably at about 1:30pm. Once the Administration’s proposals are on the table, we’ll caucus to discuss our reactions.
The UM/GEO Bargaining session for tomorrow, Wednesday Feb 1 has been canceled due to predictions of heavy snow. Bargaining will resume on Friday in the normally scheduled location (check the GEO Events link). GEO & UM are currently working on re-scheduling Wed’s session for sometime next week.
This week’s issue of At The Table has detailed information on bargaining, dates to keep an eye out for, and stories you will want to read from our members. Print one out to share with your department. Or pick up printed copies at the GEO office Monday morning after 10:00.
