GEO membership votes to go forward with referendum

On Thursday, January 25, one hundred and fifty GEO members meeting in the Vandenberg Room of the Michigan League decided to hold a referendum on the questions of whether to amend the GEO Constitution and whether to adopt a new dues bylaw.  Ballots will be mailed to the membership within the next week.

The ballot mailing will contain a number of informational materials related to the amendment, but the GEO has also set up a website for members who wish to know more about the proposals under consideration.  The website can be found at: umgeo.org/2007referendum

Any member who does not recieve a ballot by mail, or who requires a replacement ballot, may obtain one from a departmental steward or other GEO representative.  All ballots must be returned by March 25.
